MyLikes is a brand new Twitter Advertising Network. Again, with all advertising networks, some tend to be scams.

Here’s a quick overview of MyLikes:

MyLikes makes it extremely easy for you to earn money from Twitter ads, regardless of how big or small your number of followers figure is. I understand that the other networks that I have introduced in the past may be more suited to people with large number of followers (e.g. Sponsored Tweetsad.ly) where they pay you per tweet. With MyLikes (like RevTwt), they pay you per click. And it’s not just $0.001 per click or something ridiculously low. They pay a whopping $0.5 a click. Two clicks could buy you a McDonald’s burger already.

Here’s something about MyLikes that’s also unheard of in the Twitter Advertising Industry: A $2 minimum payout. Some networks have higher payout rates, which means smaller publishers may have to wait a long time before being able to cash out. That’s not the case with MyLikes.

How do I know it’s not another scam? Well here’s why:
1. I have personally received payment from MyLikes.  Here’s a screenshot of my PayPal payments from MyLikes:

So far I have made $165.97 just from MyLikes ads, from my followers clicking on the links.

This Is NOT a scam.

2. The company MyLikes is actually founded by two ex-Googlers,  the former tech lead for AdSense, Arvind Sundararajan and his wife Bindu Reddy, the former head of product management for Google Apps. That’s right. I told you their names. You could knock on their door demanding your money 🙂

3. Discloses are compulsory. MyLikes won’t be a company that the FTC will be chasing anything soon for its non-compliance of its rules.

4. Their system only allows you to tweet up to one ad per day. This will cut the chances of you spamming your followers, as well as allowing your account to be potentially suspended by Twitter.

If you sign up for a MyLikes account, you’ll get a chance to win an iPad every month. Sign Up below:

Mylikes used to be really good, but many people have grown tired of their antics.

People have been switching over to these guys http://best.maxflow.money

You should give them a serious look, and their auto schedule feature lets you sit back and relax.

Yes By this time I’m beginning to see that MYLIKES is a SCAM. They suspended my account without even explanation. 3 times already. With earnings that I didn’t get. Show proof or explain to us why you suspend our account..

It’s actually very complicated in this busy life to listen news on TV, thus I only use the web for that reason, and get the most up-to-date information.

  • thenxtstar says:

We currently use Mylikes and have for the last few weeks, it works fine for our company and accounts and we are also not getting rich , but it has paid on time everytime directly to our Paypal account on fridays .

We recommend the program for those that need a steady little income coming in for Blogs etc.

  • RJ says:

HI Josh, I want to start a campaign with mylikes but I feel uneasy about using my credit card. I had no clue that this is a requirement. Correct me if I am wrong, there appeared to be a “weekly budget.” Now, is that $200 budget come out of my credit card? I am confused as to how ‘exactly’ mylikes work.

I appreciate all the help that you can give me.

  • Megan says:

I’ve been doing MyLikes for months now and while I don’t make much money, I do get paid every single week without fail. I’ve never had my ads rejected.

  • Mike says:

    Don’t bother with MyLikes.

Most advertisers pay pennies even when MyLikes has your threshold set to say 70 cents a click.

Even if you do end up magically earnings a few bucks advertisers have the ability to disapprove your ad at any any time and set your earnings back to $0.00

  • Flailed says:

I barely had 7 dollars and the just didn’t pay me for no reason and took 4 dollars away twice. >_>?

  • MyLikesScam says:

Yeah, this site is a scam. I made at least $50 worth of money in one week. They suspended my account. And what’s funny is, they didn’t even state why. They just had a whole list of Options assuming one of them was the reason why I had my account suspended when really none of them applied. HYPOCRITES. Almost everyone I know who uses/used MyLikes has made a large amount of money and right before they were about to be paid that amount(every Friday at Midnight) suddenly their account was suspended or their pay deducted. I also had so many people clicking my links, I had “Advertisers” taking away my pay out of no where. Just because they wanted to. I advise anyone to not use this site, they basically use people to advertise their products. And the only people they won’t mess with are Top Notch people like Celebrities and Bloggers with nearly a hundred thousand followers. One word. SCAM!

  • Blah says:

They only suspend your account if you make a habit of clicking on your own links.

    • Promena says:

No they don’t! They paid me every week for a while and suddenly without any reason suspended my account. I have never ever clicked on my own links and have no clue why my account was suspended. They claim to return the earnings to the advertisers, which we all know is a lie!

Furthermore, I have tried to contact them every 4 days for weeks no and never got any response. Even Google communicates better!

It’s very frustrating not to know why I cannot use their services anymore. Their terms and conditions are setup in a way that almost every Twitter account could be refused or suspended.

Any suggestions how I can get more info?

  • Jay says:

mylikes suspended account with no good reason, a lot of suck advertiser that always give a false impression in order just to promote their product or site… that’s make your account suspended.

  • Nicks says:

Thx for the review sir. But I think I must reconsider again joining mylikes.. I’ve read so many saying it’s a scam 🙂

  • Mylikes is a Scam says:

Mylikes is a scam. Just like Jenn said, my account was suspended without warning for no reason. I had a balance of over $25 that was mostly. It took me a lot of effort to get my balance that high and I am not pleased at all to have that money stolen from me. I discourage anyone who may be considering joining MyLikes. I basically promoted their advertisements for free. Not cool at all.

  • Jenn says:

I strongly discourage anyone from signing up with MyLikes. Both myself and several other active, legitimate Twitter users have had our MyLikes accounts suspended with no reason — and after we had racked up a balance of $10-$50.

My recent post on the subject: http://www.in-my-bag.com/2011/04/30/mylikes/

i can’t post ads to twitter. When i click on ‘send messege’ button, it automatically load the home page. Please friends help me!

  • Tilen says:

very nice review, thanks! I’m also using Mylikes to make money on Twitter and Facebook and I think it’s great! 🙂 Recommended!

  • MyLikes is cool. It is free, fast, easy and good for newbies, too. I joined on a Wednesday and was paid by Friday … works for me.

  • Venske says:

    Very thanks guy

  • Raven says:

Although I am using MyLikes, I’m still a bit skeptical about it, and also with what you’ve posted above, you said mylikes has a $2 payout which is absolutely negative to now, they only let you cash out when you reach $400 (you can check it), so how could you possibly do that? it even takes almost 2 days for them to verify the clicks that have made on the campaign you have liked.

But on the contrary, this post was made on January 2010, and maybe a lot of things happened to Mylike.com system.

    • Josh Lam says:

Hi Raven, $2 is still the cash out amount for MyLikes. $400 isn’t the new payout amount. Quick quote from MyLikes’ website:

“Any earnings more than $2 will be sent to your PayPal account once a week on Friday. If you have earned more than $400 on MyLikes, your payments could be withheld if you have not supplied us with your tax information.”

Also, I agree with you that 2 days may seem a bit long, but 48 hours to verify clicks is the average time in the internet advertising industry.

  • Rob says:

They don’t even have a phone number and they use Domain By Proxy to hide their information…very unprofessional. I don’t care if they did work with Google. They have no way for large corporations to contact them by phone. I wouldn’t spend a dime with this company. I don’t see any proof of who are really are! Just another company trying to capitalize off of YouTube Partners success. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Smiley says:

this is a great info bro. thanks for sharing this information although I wanted to know if you just have to tweet the sponsored links from one twitter account or you can tweet on one account and also retweet it with your other accounts if they don’t allow more than one account.

    • Josh Lam says:

Yes you can. The link is exactly the same for every tweet for advertiser, so you can copy the link from one account to another and the clicks will still be counted.

  • Marc says:

Hi. I signed up for MyLike but it says I have no active campaigns…I couldn’t find a beginners tutorial. How do I start? Can’t I earn if I’ve got no active campaigns? Thanks.

fantastic advice and sharing,I will buy one beautiful apple for me .thanks,Joe

  • David Bannon says:

What’s the deal with all these “I like your blog” comments?
This post is one big advertisement for your REFERRAL link to mylikes. Ironic really when you write about disclosure being one of mylikes great features.

    :not amused: (T_T)

    • David Bannon says:

      Nice disclaimer though lol
“I try to make money on every link, tweet, ad and product. If I didn’t, it was an oversight.”

    • Josh Lam says:

Hey, what’s wrong with referral links? I’m just a student trying to pay for food. Nothing’s wrong with that, right?

      • David Bannon says:

Oh I’m not saying theres a problem with referral links, it just irks me that it’s not disclosed and you don’t offer a direct link or even a normal referral link anywhere in the post instead opting to have all mentions of the site go through a redirect.

Also the number of approved comments heavily praising your site that are clearly spam (see their urls) is misleading to a new visitor.

That said I’m a student myself and you gotta do what you gotta do to put noodles on the table 😛

Very cool program indeed, Josh. I just checked out their site and I must say that their program has a totally different twist from the others. I think it’s going to be very attractive to many people and thus bring them loads of members in return.
